Leadership Changed My Life.
Â
Now I Help Others Build the Skills They Were Never Taught.
Â
After spending my career leading technical teams, growing organizations, and navigating high-pressure environments, I realized one thing:
Most managers aren't failing because they lack talent—they're failing because no one ever taught them how to lead.
My Story
I never set out to become a leadership coach.
For most of my career, I was focused on solving problems, leading teams, and helping organizations succeed. But somewhere along the way, I realized something that completely changed my perspective.
The projects eventually faded into the background.
The people didn't.
I can still remember the leaders who believed in me, challenged me, and helped shape the leader I am today. I also remember the ones who made work feel unnecessarily difficult. Those experiences taught me that leadership has an incredible impact on people's confidence, careers, and lives.
As my own career grew, I watched talented engineers, project managers, and technical professionals step into leadership roles with almost no preparation. They weren't struggling because they lacked ability—they were struggling because no one had ever taught them how to lead.
That's why I started Blaze.
I believe leadership isn't about having all the answers. It's about creating an environment where people can do their best work, where trust is stronger than ego, and where success is measured by how many people you help grow.
That's the kind of leader I strive to be—and the kind of leader I'm passionate about helping build.
What I Believe
Leadership is learned.
Some people may have a natural gift for leadership, but the best leaders know there's always room to grow. Leadership isn't a destination—it's a lifelong commitment to learning, adapting, and becoming better for the people you serve.
People deserve leaders who care.
Â
The way we lead impacts confidence, performance, and even how people feel when they go home at the end of the day.
Mission always comes before ego.
Â
The best leaders create environments where people succeed together, because the mission matters more than individual recognition.
Why Technical Leaders?
I've spent my career working alongside engineers, project managers, scientists, and technical professionals.
I understand the unique challenge of moving from being the person with the answers to becoming the person responsible for helping others succeed.
That's why every resource I create is practical, actionable, and designed for leaders working in technical and mission-driven environments.
Leadership Journey
Leadership has been part of my life since I became a manager at just 16 years old. Over the past 25 years, I've had the privilege of leading people, programs, and organizations in high-growth, technical, and mission-driven environments. From frontline employees to executive leadership, those experiences have given me a unique perspective on the challenges leaders face at every stage of their careers—and they continue to shape the practical tools and training I create today.

A Little More About Me
Outside of work, you'll usually find me traveling with my family, training for my next obstacle course race, or chasing whatever challenge comes next.
I believe growth doesn't stop when the workday ends—and neither does leadership.
